Foundation for Jewish Camp Leaders Assembly
Foundation for Jewish Camp’s Leaders Assembly is the largest gathering of professional and volunteer leadership in Jewish camp. Join us for unparalleled networking, professional development, and a celebration of Jewish camp with over 800 camp professionals, lay leaders, advocates, and friends from around the world.
At Leaders Assembly, colleagues learn from both experts and peers in creative, relevant, and interactive facilitator-led sessions to share best practices, explore trends, and seek opportunities for excellence. Together, we celebrate all the field has accomplished to date and share our excitement for what we will accomplish together moving forward.
Attendee Code of conduct
Foundation for Jewish Camp is committed to creating a respectful, welcoming, and harassment-free environment for all Leaders Assembly participants, including conference registrants, staff, speakers, vendors, and volunteers. As Jewish camps model safe and healthy communities, our gatherings should embody the same values, where sexual misconduct, violence, sexism, and discrimination of any kind are not tolerated.
At Leaders Assembly, demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior and speech are not permitted. This includes any language or actions that belittle, marginalize, or discriminate against individuals or groups. Sexual misconduct, including any form of unwelcome sexual attention and inappropriate physical contact, is strictly prohibited.
We also do not tolerate harassment that targets individuals or groups based on age, race, sex, ethnicity, national origin, religion, language, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, health conditions, socioeconomic status, marital status, domestic status, parental status, citizenship status, military status, body size, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
Abuse of power, whether related to position, wealth, race, or gender, is not acceptable at Leaders Assembly. We believe in promoting an environment where everyone feels safe, respected, and valued.
At the Leaders Assembly, the safety and security of all participants is our utmost priority. Therefore, we strictly prohibit the possession and carrying of firearms, knives, explosives, and any other weapons on the premises. This includes, but is not limited to, stun guns, pepper spray, and any objects that can be used as weapons. This policy applies to all attendees, including staff, volunteers, vendors, and participants. To ensure everyone's safety, we will have security measures in place which may include armed security. Violation of this policy will result in immediate removal from the event and potential further action as deemed necessary.
This Code of Conduct has been established to promote safety and respect throughout Leaders Assembly. We expect all conference participants to adhere to this policy at all venues, including ancillary events and unofficial social gatherings. Our goal is to create an environment where all attendees feel welcome and included.
If you experience or witness any behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it to Foundation for Jewish Camp personnel. We assure you that all reports will be treated with confidentiality and will be thoroughly investigated. Appropriate actions will be taken, which may include being barred from all conference activities or, if necessary, referral to the authorities.
Together, we can ensure that Leaders Assembly remains a supportive and respectful environment for everyone.
